Over the last few weeks, ADW continued the tradition of partnering with Hope Match to provide school supplies to families in need. This year, Hope Match decided to switch things up and instead of distributing specific items to each sponsored child, all donations were compiled together in a fun "store" setting where kids got to "shop" freely for their own school supplies. It was a huge success and we really enjoyed being able to help make this day possible. We couldn't have done it without the overwhelming generosity and support of the entire ADW family!
Josh did it guys. He made it through nearly 4,000 experience hours and 6 registration exams and is now the firm's 20th architect! To celebrate this massive accomplishment ADW holds all new architects their very own pizza party.
We all know the path to licensure is no easy feat. Years of schooling, months of studying, and even more years of hard work and experience has gotten him to this point. Congratulations, Josh! You definitely earned it.
ADW participated in CANstruction again this year. Our structure carried the theme of Captain America: Fighting Hunger the AmeriCAN way! The team had a great and successful build and we are proud of them for representing ADW in a cause to combat hunger.
CANstruction is a non-profit 501(c)3 charity which hosts competitions and events around the world each year. All food used in each construction is donated to local food banks. Here in Charlotte they are donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina
This was our second year partnering up with Hope Match for the holiday season to provide gifts to a local family in need. The entire office pulled together to provide the family with everything on their lists plus a grocery gift card so that the family can enjoy a holiday meal. What an amazing job, team!
Today we welcomed Josh Kieb to the ADW design team. Josh earned his Masters from UNC Charlotte in 2016 and is currently taking his ARE exams. We're happy to have you, Josh!
We are welcoming Bob Moran into the ADW family this week, growing the firm to 41 employees! Bob is joining the Construction Contract Administration Team and he brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of Architectural Practice. We are glad to have you, Bob!
We have had some exciting news these past two weeks. Three of our employees have been promoted. Ashley and Rachel were named Senior Associates and Cliff was named our newest Associate. Their continued leadership and efforts are what help us create environments for life.
It's that time of year again. In a couple of weeks, Charlotte students will be heading back to school. The cost of new school supplies can be overwhelming and for some families it is simply impossible to provide. This year, we decided to sponsor 8 local students from families in need through Hope Match and their school supply drive. Our goal was to fulfill the supply lists of 4 students through monetary and supply donations and the managing principals would match those donations to sponsor the other 4. Our employees went above and beyond and we have surpassed this goal by providing enough donations to sponsor all 8 children, allowing 5 more children to be sponsored through the contribution of our managing principals! We are so elated to know that 13 children will be going back to school with the supplies they need, all personalized to them. Thank you, to everyone who donated and to Hope Match for this opportunity.
Hope Match is a local Charlotte charity that provides donations to families in need through events just like the school supply drive. We came to know them this last Christmas season when we were given the opportunity to participate in their gift drive and sponsor a family. It has been such a pleasure working with the organization and we look forward to more events!
On April 1st ADW celebrated our 40th Anniversary with a party/open house.
